Bible-based Affirmations for Couples

My spouse and I are forever united and bonded with one another as one flesh in love, matrimony and covenant sealed and covered by the blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ (Genesis 2:24)

Because God’s love is in us, we are patient and kind and never jealous.

We are not proud or conceited and never brag.

We are never rude, disrespectful or selfish with one another.

Neither of us are easily provoked or keep count of past wrongs.

We do not rejoice over evil but we rejoice when right and truth prevails.

We accept all things patiently.

We always trust.

We always hope and our love endures everything without weakening. Because of God’s love in us, our love will never end or fall short! (I Corinthians 13).

God has joined us together. No man, including my spouse or me, can split, separate or put asunder our love, relationship or marriage (Matthew 19:6).

Our hearts are drawn to one another so that we always love and speak tenderly to each other. (Genesis 34:3).

We have tender hearts that are responsive to Father God and to one other. (Ezekiel 11:9).

We agree with each other wholeheartedly. We love one another, and work together with one mind and purpose. We stay humble with one another, seeing the other as more important than ourselves. (Philippians 2:1-3).

We are cleansed and healed from past hurts so that those scars and wounds will not adversely affect our relationship and marriage. (Psalm 147:3)

God enables us to keep our tongues from speaking evil to or evil of the other.

We turn from evil and do good in the eyes of God and in the eyes of one another. (I Peter 3:12).

I know how to be pleasing to my spouse.

I know how to support and encourage my spouse. I recognize all of my spouse’s giftings and talents. (Ephesians 5:22).

My spouse is always attracted to me and satisfied and refreshed by me only.

I am always exhilarated by my wife and delight in her love. (Proverbs 5:19).

We resist temptation and choose the way of escape that God has provided for us (I Corinthians 10:13).

Peace forever reigns and rules in our hearts and minds (Colossians 3:15).

We do not yield to strife or any form of discord. (Romans 13:13).

I treasure my wife recognizing that I have found a good thing and am thereby blessed by God (Proverbs 18:22).

We express our love for one another to one another in a way that we can receive, understand and be blessed by it.

No weapon formed against our love, relationship or marriage shall prosper. Every tongue that shall rise up against our love, relationship or marriage shall be condemned (Isiah 54:17).

I am my beloved and he is mine. God’s banner over us is love.

God’s perfect will for our relationship and future is manifested.

God watches over these words to perform them. Not one word will return to God void. (Isaiah 55:11)

Nothing is impossible to those who believe (Mark 9:23).

We stand in faith being fully persuaded that what God has promised He is able to perform (Romans 4:21).
